Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati on Monday declared Kenya Kwanza candidate William Ruto as the President-elect after garnering\u00a07,176,141 votes (50.45 percent), beating Mr Odinga who got 6,942,930 votes (48.85 percent).<\/p>\n
Speaking for the first time since the IEBC chair declared the presidential results on Monday, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party presidential candidate, claimed Mr Chebukati showed disregard to the Constitution by announcing results processed unilaterally.<\/p>\n
He also claimed that the chair was the only person who accessed the presidential tally and informed the commissioners without permitting any discussion of the results.<\/p>\n
