Open letter to the former President Thabo Mbeki: NO one knows the problem of the conflict in the eastern part of DRC better than the people of that AREA

Mbeki's assumptions and understanding of the situation in the DRC Congo are believed to be entirely derived from Paul Kagame's and Julius Kambarage Nyerere's points of view. PLO Lumumba has joined the fray when asked in an interview about the situation in DRC. His views are the same as that of Mbeki's with lots of misconstrued and extorted narratives.

Open letter to the former President Thabo Mbeki: NO one knows the problem of the conflict in the eastern part of DRC better than the people of that AREA

Former President of South Africa: Thabo Bheki

Something many people should know is that Mbeki is a friend of Paul Kagame and that is the reason why his assertion on the so-called Kinyarwanda-speaking people is a replica of his buddy genocideur Paul Kagame’s manufactured lies. Not only that, I also, believe as many people do, that former president Thabo Mbeki is not an expert on the situation in the Great Lakes region, he is ill-informed but, he is in his own right to hold that particular view on that situation whether true or not, as many people also hold opposing views on many things he talked about on the situation in DRC, as he believes discrimination of Banyarwanda is the source of the problems, which is untrue.

Questions asked are:

  1. If indeed, the so-called banyamulenge are discriminated against for not being recognized as Congolese, should that be a licence for them to kill innocent people to claim their rights? In the same context, does the former president support Israel’s incriminatory killings of Palestinians innocent civilians for Hama’s attacks on Israeli civilians on October 7th and other wars there?

The truth about borders and tribes is that, indeed it was the colonialists who drew borders in Africa and, identified tribes within those countries.

Yes, he correctly indicated that a group of nilotic Tutsi was among the population counted back then but, there was never a tribe called Banyamulenge when Belgian administrators did the registration of all tribes, and recorded 450 tribes in the Congo, not exceeding that number.

For what intention would the Belgium colonial rulers forget only one tribe but manage to record the rest of the tribes in DRC as they did with the rest of other African countries? The fact of the matter is, that the so-called Banyamulenge were not there, and up-to-date there is no tribe known as Banyamulenge in DRC. This is a name created as that of Afrikaners in South Africa. It was orchestrated by Tutsi elites among them Julius Kambarage Nyerere, another Tutsi from Uganda who became the father of the nation of Tanzania. From here, you can understand the involvement of Tanzania under Nyerere’s leadership, in the conflict in Uganda as he supported Tutsi rebels led by another Tutsi Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who ousted president Idi Amin Dada a Bantu.

Read also: Faustin Munishi a Tanzanian Pastor and Singer: mocked DRCongo while the country is going through difficult time of war

  1. The malice practice of the Tutsis is that since they want to invade Congo as they did with Uganda, Rwanda Burundi, Kenya, etc… they want to turn every Kinyarwanda-speaking to be known as Congolese as a way to easily infiltrate into DRC society. Already, this is happening in a very alarming space as Tutsi refugee claimants from Rwanda and Uganda increase perennial. Tutsi from these countries who foresee one to live in DRC as Congolese, are trained to seek refuge in many western countries and claim to be Congolese of Banyamulenge. In this context, I am saying, that there are more Tutsis of the so-called in Western countries than those found in DRC and perhaps in neighbouring’s combined. It’s a new strategy or way of infiltrating Tutsis into Congolese society in the long term. That is why Kagame claims that there are five million so-called Banyamulenge refugees in Rwanda alone because he wants to export his people to DRC to realise or attain the Balkanisation project. Another aspect of the war is the war for competition of the mineral of DRCongo which deliberately and often omitted the war between Rwanda and Uganda in Kisangani that claimed more than 300 thousand Congolese lives. I don’t think so if this war was also provoked by marginalised, so-called Kinyarwanda-speaking people of the DRCongo.

Whatever is said above may sound crazy but, that’s the plan to see a split DRC, and this plan is day-to-day elaborated in western governments’ office chambers. Frequently they say, that Congo is too big, the size of Western Europe. But DRC is not bigger than Algeria on the continent nor is it larger than Russia, the USA Australia and other countries in the world for such an exaggerated estimation of land size attributed only to DRC! If it isn’t, the reason why they keep referring to DRC as a large country is as if no other country in the world surpasses it in size, I wonder what the real motive is! The reason is to constantly push the propaganda agenda for the secession of part of Kivu by creating favourable conditions in Rwanda so that the population in the East feels abandoned by Kinshasa. That is why they cite the problem of Roads, which is undeniably true but, if DRC has no modern infrastructures, this, therefore can’t be used as the reason for a country to split, unless there is a hidden agenda.

For this, I would refer you to read the work of Charles Onana, HOLOCAUST AU CONGO,

L’Omertra de la communaute internationale/ genocide in the DRCongo, the silence of the international community. Also read, Mapping Report of experts of United Nations.

  1. Mobutu whom former president Thabo Mbeki referred to as a person who allowed the discrimination against Tutsis, had his DG a Tutsi called Bisengimana Rwema. During Mobutu, Tutsi had privileges to acquire government educational bursaries while indigenous Congolese had no access to these bursaries at all.

Then, if indeed Mobutu discriminated against Tutsis, according to Mbeki’s belief, how then would Mobutu do all of those things, including access to education for the people he discriminated against?

In South Africa, refugees are not currently given access to education, and Mbeki doesn’t condemn that as a person who propels the Pan-African agenda. Why is he overlooking and allowing that to happen in his country but, has the heart to blame others, particularly DRC?

  1. The issue of Mai-Mai he invoked and presumed to have started killing the Tutsis, is another lie made or fabricated by the Tutsi hegemonic regime of Rwanda. Fact, before 1996, these Rwandan-speaking refugees lived harmoniously with the rest of the population, went to the same schools, prayed in the same churches, fostered good neighbourhoods, and some were integrated into Congolese tribes and considered to be part and parcel of those tribes, families and communities. Example: former Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church is Uvira, Gerôme Gapangwa a Tutsi subject, was enthroned on the quota of the Bembe tribe and became archbishop there, just to name this one example.

Where did this animosity start and why after these Tutsis live together with local tribes for more than three decades? The truth they don’t tell as they use manipulation machinery and lies is that they chose to claim citizenship by slaughtering, murmuring, burying people alive, and burning people in the huts, and most of their targets were traditional leaders, elderly people who knew the history of how they came to Congo; they killed Pastors and the youth. In 1993, most of these Rwandan refugees particularly their youth, returned to Rwanda to fight alongside the RPF of Paul Kagame and Rwigema and returned to Zaïre in 1996 to start the war which later became known as AFDL.

It was during this period that the Mai-Mai movement was created. The young people in villages were fed up to see the slaughtering of their parents and stood up to protect their families who were being slaughtered by these Tutsis refugees who claimed Zairian citizenship through the blood of autochthones. If we may ask former president Mbeki to tell us, which of the so-called Munyamulenge he knows was killed before 1996 and where? But, we can name people who were killed by these cruel people as we have indicated that they started killing villagers claiming citizenship when in reality all government institutions responsible for granting or recognising citizenship to individuals those institutions are all based in Kinshasa and not these villages.

  1. These refugees claim to be Banyamulenge. Mulenge is the name of a mountain or place. Whereas tribes in DRC are not named after the names of the places, mountains or Rivers. The tribes in DRC speak their language and have the lands. Example: there are Luba tribe, they speak Chiluba and are originally from Kasaïs. But, those people claim to be Banyamulenge but speak Kinyarwanda. All along, these so-called Banyamulege were denying that they don’t speak Kinyarwanda but Kinyamulenge, it is now recently that they are admitting to speaking Kinyarwanda, and they now want to be known as Banyamulenge who speak Kinyarwanda. Where did Kinyamulenge they were speaking disappeard? It’s total confusion because no lies can be told every day and remain factually consistent.

Secondly, they are banyamulenge meaning people of Mulenge which is a place in the district of Uvira, but they claim their ancestral is in Minembwe, a place in the district of Fizi. Where do you, a people’s name is from one district and their ancestry land in another district? It’s pure lies.

Mbeki himself is from the Eastern Cape province, although he lives in Gauteng province, it doesn’t mean he is originally from Gauteng no matter how long he has lived in Gauteng. Yes, he is a resident of Gauteng, like all of us, but we are not originally from here.

  1. Banyamulenge claims that they are discriminated against, whereas when they are in government, army, and police, and occupy strategic posts in state institutions when their many tribes among the 450 who never have a municipal manager post, but never claimed to be discriminated. In the current government and previous ones, these banyamulenge were and are represented in. They have even assumed the post of the vice presidency, Azarius Ruberwa after the City inter-Congolese negotiations, an enabling process that easily infiltrated Rwandan Tutsis further into Congolese society.

So, if the so-called Banyamulenge have had all those opportunities than other tribes, do they still have a real reason for them to continue with wars, if their main motive is not for land invasion?

The reason, I am happy that Tanzanian authorities have earlier discovered this problem of infiltration and identity theft is that some foreigners improperly obtained and abused the immigration system of their country and are working to stop that.

Hopefully, we are waiting for Mbeki’s reaction vis-à-vis the situation in Tanzania as well which is similar to how infiltration occurred in DRC, as authorities have described it.
